Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Assembly Operative

Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer, they are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembler / Mechanical Assembly Operative / Mechanical Fitter to mechanically assemble their manufactured machinery to a high quality standard.

Salary: £18.04 per hour + Overtime at x1.5

Hours of work: 40 hours a week, 8.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

• At least 3 years’ experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Engineer / Assembly Operative, preferably in an Engineering background
• Advanced NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject, or Apprentice trained
• Bespoke Machine / Special Purpose Machinery building experience will be favoured, however other industries building bespoke capital equipment will also be considered
• Computer skills in Excel and Word

Responsibilities:

• The mechanical assembly of a wide variety of machinery parts
• Read and interpret mechanical assembly diagrams, engineering drawings, bills of material and specifications
• Confirm quality checks have been completed
• Providing training, guidance, and support to apprentices and other members of the assembly team to increase their skills and knowledge base
• Support the integration of new product lines being adopted

This job would suit someone with previous experience in a similar role, such as; Mechanical Assembler / Assembly Operative / Assembly Operator / Assembly Technician / Mechanical Installer.
