£60,000 – £62,300 + Bonus + Overtime | 4 On / 4 Off Nights | Permanent

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join an established manufacturing business offering an excellent salary package, strong benefits and a 4 on / 4 off night shift.

With a basic salary of up to £62,300, plus bonus and overtime, this is a highly competitive package for an experienced mechanical engineer.

The 4 on / 4 off pattern also gives you regular four-day blocks away from work throughout the year, providing considerably more extended periods of free time than a traditional Monday–Friday working pattern.

The Role

• Planned, preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance
• Mechanical fault finding and breakdown response
• Maintenance and repair of industrial plant and machinery
• Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Welding, grinding and fabrication
• Supporting TPM and continuous improvement
• Machinery installations and engineering projects
• Working with production to minimise downtime

About You

• Mechanical Engineering qualification – Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent
• Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial or heavy engineering
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
• Welding, grinding and fabrication experience
• Good understanding of health and safety
• Able to work independently and effectively under pressure
