Field Service Technician / Plant Fitter – Construction Machinery

Stourport‑based | Field‑based across the region

We’re recruiting a skilled Field Service Technician / Plant Fitter to join a growing construction machinery aftersales team. You’ll be supporting customers across Stourport, the West Midlands, Shropshire and parts of the Southwest, carrying out servicing, diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of construction machinery.

The Role

As a field‑based technician, you’ll work on a variety of equipment including excavators, wheel loaders, dumpers, rollers and telehandlers. Your work will include:

• Routine servicing and planned maintenance
• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault‑finding
• Breakdowns and on‑site repairs at customer locations
• Pre‑delivery inspections, warranty work and LOLER tasks
• Representing market‑leading construction machinery brands

Ideal Candidate

• Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds or similar in Plant Maintenance
• Experience working on construction machinery (excavators, loaders, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers etc.)
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical knowledge
• Agricultural machinery or HGV experience also considered
• Comfortable working to dealer‑level standards
• Customer‑focused with strong communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
