We are partnered with a leading European Data Centre delivery specialist who design, build, and commission major hyperscale facilities across the continent. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead to join a flagship project in Lisbon, Portugal.

In this role, you will lead the full mechanical delivery across a large-scale data centre build, from engineering leadership to installation oversight, coordination, quality control, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Mechanical Engineers
• Propose design changes to improve cost, quality, and constructability
• Oversee mechanical installation quality, materials, and compliance
• Liaise with Contracts Manager, Engineers, and discipline leads
• Ensure subcontractors receive accurate, timely technical information
• Review drawings, specifications, and communicate errors/omissions
• Define resource requirements and motivate the project team
• Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety on site

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related)
• Strong procurement and commercial awareness
• Experience with scheduling, programming, and sequencing
• Proven track record leading MEP teams
• Previous experience delivering data centre MEP projects
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
