We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a growing manufacturing facility.


This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, hands-on mechanical engineer to join a developing production environment, where you will play an important role in maintaining plant reliability, reducing downtime and supporting continuous improvement.

The Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of industrial production equipment and site services.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
  • Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out effective repairs.
  • Maintaining and repairing pumps, gearboxes, motors, agitators, valves and associated equipment.
  • Working on mechanical drives, bearings, seals and rotating equipment.
  • Maintenance and installation of industrial pipework and associated fittings.
  • Welding, fabrication and general mechanical fitting.
  • Working on industrial utilities including steam boilers and compressed-air systems.
  • Supporting equipment installation, modifications and improvement projects.
  • Identifying recurring equipment failures and recommending improvements.
  • Working alongside production teams to minimise equipment downtime.
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with site health, safety, quality and hygiene procedures.

About You

  • At least 3 years' experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, food, chemical or process environment.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience maintaining pumps, gearboxes, motors, valves and rotating equipment.
  • Experience with welding, fabrication and industrial pipework.
  • Good knowledge of health & safety procedures and safe systems of work.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
