Salary: £44,340 starting salary + monthly incentive scheme + 8-week closure incentive
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:10
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering team at a major manufacturing site in the Grimsby area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to work Monday to Friday, days-based hours, while benefiting from a strong salary package, incentive schemes and enhanced overtime rates.



The Package

  • £44,340 starting salary
  • Monthly incentive scheme
  • 8-week closure incentive
  • Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:10
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x Monday - Saturday
  • Overtime paid at 2x on Sundays
  • Employer pension contribution of up to 12%
  • Full-time, permanent position

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the ongoing reliability and performance of site machinery and production equipment.

Working as part of the engineering team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site
  • Diagnosing and rectifying electrical and/or mechanical faults
  • Responding effectively to equipment breakdowns
  • Supporting preventative maintenance programmes
  • Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability
  • Ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
  • Working closely with production and other departments to minimise downtime
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site


About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent
  • Good electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of an engineering team
  • A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement
  • Strong health & safety awareness
