We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a professional on-site engineering team based at a high-profile corporate office building in Knightsbridge. The Role:
As the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the building's mechanical and associated building services systems. You'll play a key role in ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and to the highest standards expected within a premium commercial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical building services equipment.
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance tasks and mechanical breakdowns.
- Fault find, diagnose and repair mechanical plant and equipment.
- Maintain and service HVAC systems, pumps, motors, valves, pipework and water systems.
- Assist with basic electrical and general building maintenance where required.
- Complete statutory compliance checks and ensure all maintenance records are accurately updated using the site's CAFM system.
- Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and fellow engineers.
- Participate in the on-call rota (1 week in every 3).
About You:
You'll be a mechanically qualified maintenance engineer with experience working within commercial building maintenance or building services.
Ideally, you'll have:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
- Previous experience maintaining commercial HVAC and mechanical plant.
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- The ability to work independently as well as within a close-knit engineering team.
