As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving site operations, ensuring machinery and production equipment remains reliable, efficient, and safe.

Working as part of an experienced engineering team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults across production machinery and site systems
  • Maintaining pumps, motors, bearings, conveyors, gearboxes, valves, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
  • Completing inspections, servicing, adjustments, and mechanical improvements
  • Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency
  • Supporting machinery installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
  • Carrying out mechanical repairs, component replacements, alignment, and lubrication tasks
  • Assisting with root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures
  • Maintaining accurate service records and reporting recurring faults
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving, and improving equipment reliability.

You will ideally have:
  • A recognised mechanical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
  • Previous experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or production environment
  • Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills
  • Experience working with pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
  • A positive attitude with a desire to learn and progress
