Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Barnsley
Salary: £48,336.70 per annum, including shift allowance
Shift Pattern: 4-Shift Rota

Shifts:

  • 6am – 2pm, Monday to Friday
  • 2pm – 10pm, Monday to Friday
  • 10pm – 6am, Monday to Friday
  • 6am – 4pm, Thursday to Sunday

The Role

Questech Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Barnsley, who are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their busy engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs on production machinery and plant.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns.
  • Fault-find on mechanical systems, including gearboxes.
  • Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Maintain accurate records using the CMMS system.

About You

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years' industrial maintenance experience.
  • Previous manufacturing or engineering experience.
  • Good knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Experience using CMMS systems.
