Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and deliver leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centre’s, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for a Mechanical Package Manager to join them on a Data Centre Project in Portugal.

The ideal Mechanical Package Manager Will Be Responsible For:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all activities related to the mechanical package scope, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of mechanical package documentation, including specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
  • Manage procurement processes for mechanical equipment and materials, liaising with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with quality standards.
  • Coordinate with design, construction, commissioning, and procurement teams to ensure smooth integration of the mechanical package into the overall project.
  • Monitor mechanical package progress, budget, and schedule, identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures to maintain project milestones.
  • Lead technical reviews and meetings related to the mechanical package, addressing design queries and resolving conflicts proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements throughout the mechanical package lifecycle.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports and documentation for mechanical package status, progress, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.

You Will Need:

  • A Professional Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience managing works on large scale projects.
  • Data Centre experience is not required but desirable.
  • An EU passport may be required for this role.
