We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Director to join an established MEP Design & Build contractor, delivering high-value commercial fit-out projects across London.

This is a senior leadership position for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager / Project Director who can take responsibility for the successful delivery of major projects from pre-construction through to completion.

The Role

• Take overall responsibility for the mechanical delivery of major commercial fit-out projects

• Lead and manage project teams, including Project Managers, Engineers and site teams

• Oversee projects from design and pre-construction through to completion and handover

• Manage project programmes, budgets, procurement and commercial performance

• Work closely with clients, consultants, main contractors and supply chain partners

• Ensure mechanical design is coordinated and delivered in line with project requirements

• Monitor project progress, costs, quality and programme

• Identify and manage project risks, variations and commercial opportunities

• Provide leadership and technical direction to the wider project team

• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong experience within mechanical building services

• Proven background delivering commercial fit-out projects

• Experience working for an MEP / Design & Build contractor

• Previous experience at Project Director, Senior Project Manager, Contracts Manager or similar level

• Experience managing large-value mechanical packages/projects

• Strong commercial and contractual awareness

• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders

• Excellent understanding of mechanical services, design coordination and installation

• Strong client-facing and communication skills
