  • Agree actions with electrical, structural and architectural teams
  • Brief supervisors and installers on upcoming works, prepare RFIs and clearly explain site constraints

Problem Solving & Decision Making

  • Identify clashes between mechanical and other services, using 3D models to interrogate arrangements
  • Propose alternative installation solutions for technical approval
  • Review subcontractor technical queries, support RFI submissions and mark up drawings to reflect approved changes

Design Process

  • Awareness of the design process and consultant deliverables, including roles within the DRM, BG6 and BIMExP
  • Understand CDM responsibilities and Contractor's Design Portions
  • Familiarity with modular construction concepts (MMC/DFMA) and model viewers such as Revizto and Navisworks

Managing Self

  • Effective time management and task prioritisation
  • Undertake continuous professional development, building relevant skills, knowledge and competence
  • Demonstrate commitment to health & safety and an interest in net zero and low-carbon engineering

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • Strong communicator, able to explain technical issues clearly in reports, RFIs and emails, and to work collaboratively across mechanical and electrical teams
  • Excellent organisation and time management, able to juggle multiple tasks, deadlines, drawings and procurement
  • Strong problem-solving ability, analysing issues quickly to find practical solutions
