Mechanical Project Manager – Contract
Location: London
Rate: £300–£350 per day, depending on experience
Duration: 8 months

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Manager to join our client on a project in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a sprinkler and mechanical background looking for a long-term contract, with approximately 8 months of work available.
As Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of mechanical and sprinkler works throughout the project, working closely with the client, site teams, subcontractors and wider project management team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Managing mechanical and sprinkler projects from commencement through to completion
  • Overseeing mechanical and sprinkler installation works and site activities
  • Managing subcontractors, engineers and site teams
  • Planning and coordinating project programmes
  • Monitoring project progress, costs and delivery
  • Liaising with clients, main contractors and other trades
  • Attending site meetings and providing project updates
  • Managing project documentation and reporting
  • Ensuring works are delivered to the required quality and specification
  • Ensuring health and safety requirements are maintained
  • Identifying and resolving project issues
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
You will ideally have:
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager
  • Experience managing sprinkler installation projects from start to completion
  • Good understanding of sprinkler systems and mechanical building services
  • Experience managing subcontractors, engineers and site teams
  • Experience managing project programmes, costs and budgets
  • Strong client and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
  • Strong understanding of construction health and safety requirements
