Mechanical Project Manager / Construction Manager - Birmingham

We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager / Construction Manager for a major new-build student accommodation project in Selly Oak, Birmingham.

Job Details:

• Start: ASAP
• Location: Selly Oak, Birmingham
• Rate: £350-£375 per day
• Duration: Ongoing contract
• Project: 800-bed student accommodation
• Project value: £10 million
• Parking: Available on site

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day mechanical works on site
• Coordinate subcontractors and site teams
• Monitor progress, quality and programme
• Complete and manage QA forms, inspections and project documentation
• Ensure works are completed to specification and required standards
• Liaise with the main contractor, subcontractors and project team
• Resolve site issues and coordinate works with other trades
• Maintain accurate records and handover documentation

Requirements:

• Strong mechanical bias with relevant construction/project management experience
• Previous experience managing mechanical works on large construction projects
• Good understanding of QA/QC and site documentation
• SMSTS preferred
• Relevant mechanical qualification/certification advantageous
• Must be confident managing the site and handling the paperwork/documentation side of the role

This is an ongoing opportunity on a £10m new-build project, so we are looking for someone reliable and experienced who can take ownership of the mechanical package.
