We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Quality Assurance engineerr* to join a major infrastructure project at Heathrow Airport, working on the airport's baggage handling system*.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract on a prestigious project, with work available through to December 2027.
Location: Heathrow Airport
Rate: £350–£450 per day
Duration: Until December 2027
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
Essential Criteria:
Mechanical / MEPH Background: Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Quality Inspector or Mechanical Engineer working on large-scale mechanical building services packages.
Infrastructure Experience: Prior experience working on major UK infrastructure schemes (e.g., rail, water, data centres, or aviation).
Purpose of the role: The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer (Mechanical) will focus on the quality management system (QMS), executing progressive assurance and driving a ‘right first time’ delivery culture in a live, highly regulated airport environment. The purpose of this role is to support and be part of the £35 million MEPH (Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health and HVAC) Infrastructure project at Heathrow Terminal 2. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical engineering installations meet clients standards, aviation regulations, statutory requirements, and project specifications.
