Mechanical Site Supervisor in Shrewsbury, Shropshire

We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a major commercial project with over 12 months of work available.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to take a key role in overseeing mechanical installation works, managing site teams and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation works on a large commercial project.
• Manage mechanical engineers, tradespeople and subcontractors on site.
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project programmes.
• Monitor progress and report any issues or delays to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with other trades and site management to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with current health & safety requirements.
• Carry out regular quality inspections and ensure a high standard of workmanship.
• Assist with planning, sequencing and allocation of labour and materials.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates.
• Identify and resolve technical and site-based issues.
• Ensure relevant paperwork, permits, inspections and records are maintained.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and installation.
• Previous experience supervising mechanical teams and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Relevant qualifications such as SSSTS/SMSTS and appropriate mechanical trade qualifications are desirable.
