Adecco Workington are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business for multiple Mechanical Technician opportunities. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving a wide range of manufacturing plant and production equipment. You will work closely with operations teams to maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns.
• Support plant reliability and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Complete maintenance documentation and update maintenance systems.
• Assist with equipment installations, shutdowns and refurbishment projects.
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to achieve site targets.

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience within manufacturing, industrial or heavy engineering environments.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment.
• A proactive and hands-on approach to maintenance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts
