Mechanical Technician in Wadebridge, Cornwall

DK Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join a well-established FMCG manufacturing business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded engineer to join a busy production environment, carrying out maintenance, repairs and fault finding on a range of manufacturing equipment. The role offers a four-night working week, providing a three-day weekend.

The Role

Working as part of the engineering maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring production machinery and equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery.

• Responding to breakdowns and carrying out mechanical fault finding and repairs.

• Minimising machinery downtime and supporting production efficiency.

• Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.

• Working safely and in line with company health and safety procedures.

• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reporting any recurring issues.
