An exciting opportunity to join a leading engineering and manufacturing business supporting the defence and surveillance sectors. Working within a production environment, you will be responsible for the assembly of prototype and production equipment, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards.



Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical products from engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Build prototype and production assemblies.
  • Carry out component modifications using hand tools and workshop equipment.
  • Manufacture simple brackets, mounting plates and tooling as required.
  • Record build modifications and complete change request documentation.
  • Liaise with Engineering and Production teams to resolve build issues.
  • Ensure all work meets quality, technical and health & safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and high workshop housekeeping standards.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience within a mechanical assembly, manufacturing or workshop environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Competent using hand tools and basic workshop machinery.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
