An exciting opportunity to join a leading engineering and manufacturing business supporting the defence and surveillance sectors. Working within a production environment, you will be responsible for the assembly of prototype and production equipment, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical products from engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Build prototype and production assemblies.
- Carry out component modifications using hand tools and workshop equipment.
- Manufacture simple brackets, mounting plates and tooling as required.
- Record build modifications and complete change request documentation.
- Liaise with Engineering and Production teams to resolve build issues.
- Ensure all work meets quality, technical and health & safety standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and high workshop housekeeping standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience within a mechanical assembly, manufacturing or workshop environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Competent using hand tools and basic workshop machinery.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
