Mechanical Technician

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Technician on behalf of our client based in Saffron Walden on a Permanent basis.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Inspect, service and repair a wide range of commercial aircraft components.
• Strip, inspect, repair and reassemble mechanical and electromechanical components.
• Use a range of hand tools and workshop equipment.
• Read and interpret technical publications and engineering drawings.
• Identify faults and defects during inspection and repair.
• Carry out painting and preparation work where required.
• Ensure all work meets required quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Previous mechanical or electromechanical engineering experience.
• Aviation experience is desirable but not essential.
• Proficient with hand tools.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Painting and preparation experience would be advantageous.
• Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to undertake training and develop technical skills.

Working Pattern & Benefits

Hours:

• Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
• 40 hours per week
• Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
