Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours

Mechanical Workshop Engineer – Overview

A well-established engineering business within the pump and water management sector is looking to recruit a Mechanical Workshop Engineer / Pump Engineer to join their growing team in Gloucester.

Mechanical Workshop Engineer – Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintenance, and overhaul of industrial pumps
  • Refurbishment and repair of mechanical equipment
  • Use of machinery including bending machines and workshop equipment
  • General mechanical assembly using hand and power tools
  • Fault finding and diagnosing mechanical issues
  • Supporting the build and preparation of pump systems

Mechanical Workshop Engineer – Requirements

  • Experience as a Mechanical Engineer / Pump Engineer / Workshop Engineer
  • Hands-on experience with pumps, rotating equipment, or similar machinery
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
  • Mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Reliable, hard-working, and able to work independently

Salary & Benefits

  • £15.90 per hour (£33,072 basic)
  • Overtime available
  • 2 annual bonuses (mid-year & end-of-year)
