We’re working with a friendly and supportive GP Practice in Harpenden and the surrounding areas who are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist / Administrator to join them on an ongoing temporary basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running and provide essential front-line support in a busy GP surgery.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Welcoming patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner
• Managing and booking appointments efficiently
• Handling high volumes of calls, emails, and enquiries
• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
• Processing registrations, forms, and payments
• Filing, scanning, and general administrative duties
• Supporting clinicians to ensure smooth patient flow

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working within an NHS GP Practice (essential)
• Strong working knowledge of EMIS
• Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
• Confident multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Professional, reliable, and proactive approach
