REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company

We are recruiting for an experienced VIM MELTER/ Furnace Operator to join a well-established Engineering & Manufacturing operation. This is a key role focused on delivering high-quality output while maintaining excellent safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate VIM furnaces in line with safety and quality procedures
• Analyse bath samples and calculate alloy additions using ABS systems
• Check and prepare charge materials prior to furnace loading
• Supervise alloy weighing and control additions to meet specifications
• Maintain high housekeeping and plant standards
• Support production targets and carry out routine maintenance

Requirements:

• Experience in VIM/ Melting operations
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork
• Good understanding of metallurgical processes
