A friendly and inclusive primary school in Didcot is looking for a compassionate Mental Health Assistant to join their specialist provision, supporting pupils with a variety of SEN and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a Mental Health Assistant to develop practical experience while working alongside experienced teachers, SEN professionals and other specialists.

As a Mental Health Assistant, you will support primary-aged pupils who may experience:

• Autism and ADHD.
• Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties.
• Trauma-related behaviours.
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• Difficulties with communication, relationships and engagement.

You'll help children manage their emotions, develop resilience, build confidence and overcome barriers that may impact their learning and wellbeing.

• Pay: £95-£105 per day
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

As a Mental Health Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers, SEN professionals and therapists, helping to implement positive, therapeutic and trauma-informed strategies.
