Are you a graduate in Psychology, Counselling, Education, Criminology or a related subject? A welcoming primary school in Reading is looking for a caring and resilient Mental Health Assistant to join its specialist Resource Base.
This is a great opportunity for a Mental Health Assistant to gain hands-on experience supporting pupils with SEN and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The role
As a Mental Health Assistant, you'll support pupils from Reception to Year 6 who may experience:
- Autism and ADHD
- Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties
- Trauma-related behaviours
- SEMH needs
- Barriers to learning and social development
You'll help pupils manage emotions, build confidence, develop resilience and form positive relationships.

- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
