An amazing position has recently opened up in specialist school in Oxford. They are looking for someone to start on a full time basis, ASAP!

This incredible school work with students who have been diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). They primarily work with ages 4 to 16. Many of the students who attend this school also have other co-existing needs that make it difficult to learn and engage well with their classwork. Many of the students are known to have communication needs, social needs, emotional needs and mental health needs. These needs working together make it difficult for students to learn effectively.

The school are looking for a Mental Health Assistant who will come in, work closely with the students, either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, and focus on their intervention plans. These plans are put in place to ensure the students have clear goals to support their development.

As a Mental Health Assistant, you will provide support in the classroom, work closely on intervention plans, create a supportive and engaging environment and monitor and track students progress.
