Mental Health Support Worker in Kettering, Northamptonshire

BDS Recruitment are looking for 2 support workers to work at a new supported living service for men with mental health issues as well as past substance in Kettering. These roles are initially ongoing temporary work with a strong possibility of becoming permanent at a later date for the4 right person. We are looking for candidates who are immediately available or within a short notice period.

Shifts include

8am – 10pm

8pm – 10pm followed by sleep in shift 10pm – 8am

Pay rate: £13.88 per hour and £50 per sleep in.

You will work as part of a therapeutic community where people (staff and people using the service) work together with shared responsibilities for the upkeep of the environment and for supporting each other. The project is a shared house for four people. This support worker will provide emotional support as well as some practical support in day to day tasks. You will be supported by experienced management and colleagues.

Criteria:

Experience of working with vulnerable people in a home, community or education setting.

Experience of working with people with mental health difficulties.

Experience of working in a work team setting.

Able to cover both day time and sleep in shits as well as weekends as part of a shared rota

A current enhanced DBS check
