Mentor – Supported Living Service (Young People 16–18)
Location: Bournemouth
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 16:00

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mentor to join our Supported Living Service in Bournemouth, working with young people aged 16–18.

This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support to a young person within the home, helping them develop positive routines, build confidence, and gain the practical skills needed for independent living. You will play a key role in encouraging engagement, promoting wellbeing, and supporting positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consistent 1:1 mentoring and support to a young person.
  • Encourage and establish healthy daily routines within the home.
  • Support the young person to develop independence and essential life skills.
  • Accompany the young person on activities and community-based outings.
  • Promote emotional wellbeing, confidence, and positive decision-making.
  • Help maintain a safe, supportive, nurturing, and high-quality living environment.
  • Build positive professional relationships and act as a positive role model.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months' consistent experience working with young people aged 16+.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Access to a car that can be used for work purposes.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to motivate, encourage, and inspire young people.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and supporting vulnerable young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
