Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (40 hours per week)

Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Mobile MEP & Fabric Asset Surveyor to join a specialist asset management team supporting a prestigious government facilities management contract.
Job Overview
This is a fully remote, field-based role involving travel to government office buildings to carry out annual mechanical, electrical and associated building asset surveys. The successful candidate will typically work within approximately 90 minutes of their home location, providing flexibility to manage their own schedule while supporting sites across the designated region.
Working across a varied commercial property portfolio, the role is focused on capturing and validating asset information, assessing asset condition and remaining lifecycle, and maintaining accurate asset data. This information will support statutory compliance, planned maintenance programmes and long-term investment planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out annual mechanical and electrical asset surveys across commercial government office buildings.
- Capture, verify and validate asset information using mobile surveying technology.
- Assess asset condition, remaining lifecycle and replacement requirements.
- Identify missing, duplicated or incorrectly recorded assets.
- Produce accurate asset registers and technical survey reports.
- Support lifecycle planning, compliance programmes and long-term asset management strategies.
- Ensure asset information is maintained in line with client standards and industry best practice.
- Build strong working relationships with on-site teams while working independently across multiple locations.
Person Specification
- Proven experience as an M&E Asset Surveyor, or experience as a Building Services Engineer looking to move into surveying.
- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
- Experience working within facilities management, commercial property or building services.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Comfortable using tablets and mobile technology to capture survey data.
- Able to work independently across multiple locations.
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
