MEP Manager / Building Services Manager in Cardiff

A well-renowned regional contractor is looking for an experienced Building Services Manager / MEP Manager to lead the successful delivery of mechanical, electrical and public health services across a range of projects. This is a key role, providing technical leadership from pre-construction through to commissioning, handover and aftercare — ensuring MEP solutions are safe, compliant, coordinated, buildable and delivered right first time.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading MEP design coordination, buildability and technical assurance.
• Managing specialist subcontractors, consultants, procurement and installation.
• Driving programme, quality, commissioning and handover.
• Managing interfaces across architectural, structural and specialist disciplines.
• Supporting commercial control, change management and value engineering.
• Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, CDM 2015 and Building Safety requirements.
• Maintaining accurate project information and the “golden thread”.
• Providing clear technical leadership and challenging where safety, quality or compliance are at risk.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Proven MEP management experience on design-and-build projects.
• Strong technical knowledge across building services and commissioning.
• Experience managing specialist supply chains and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, coordination and commercial awareness.
• A proactive approach to safety, quality and compliance.
• Relevant building-services qualifications or equivalent experience.

Experience across residential, care, healthcare, education or mixed-use projects would be advantageous.
