A specialist construction consultancy with a growing presence in London is looking to recruit an MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its established cost management team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the commercial delivery of complex building services packages across a diverse portfolio of high-value projects.

The successful MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee mechanical and electrical cost management from concept through to project completion, providing strategic commercial advice while working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and design teams. Alongside leading key commissions, you will support the development of junior surveyors and help maintain the high standards of service the consultancy is known for.

This role is ideally suited to an MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor who enjoys taking ownership of technically challenging projects and is looking to join a forward-thinking consultancy offering genuine career progression.

MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages from inception to final account

  • Preparing and reviewing detailed MEP cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation

  • Managing valuations, variations, change control, and final account negotiations

  • Advising clients on procurement strategy, commercial risk, and cost certainty

  • Chairing commercial meetings and coordinating with design, project, and contractor teams

  • Mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors and supporting their professional development

  • Building and maintaining long-term client relationships across multiple projects

MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline

  • Extensive experience delivering MEP cost management within a UK consultancy or contractor environment

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services packages

  • Excellent understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contract

  • MRICS qualified or working towards chartership is desirable

  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent communication and leadership skills

In Return:
