The Opportunity
A leading property and construction organisation in the Cayman Islands is looking to appoint an experienced MEPF Manager (Construction) to lead the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, Controls and associated building services across a portfolio of projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a MEPF Manager (Construction) with strong technical and construction delivery experience to take responsibility for building services from pre-construction through installation, commissioning and project closeout.
The MEPF Manager (Construction) will provide strategic oversight of safety, quality, programme, cost, QA/QC, commissioning and contractor performance, while helping to drive consistency, innovation and continuous improvement across their construction projects.
Responsibilities
As MEPF Manager (Construction), your responsibilities will include:
Leading MEPF delivery across multiple construction projects.
Managing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm and Controls packages.
Reviewing designs, specifications, technical submissions and construction documentation.
Managing specialist contractors, consultants and suppliers to ensure programme and quality requirements are achieved.
Overseeing QA/QC inspections, testing, commissioning and handover.
Monitoring construction progress, identifying technical risks and resolving coordination issues.
Ensuring MEPF installations comply with relevant standards, specifications and safety requirements.
Supporting cost control, change management and value engineering.
Driving coordination between building services, structural and architectural teams.
Ensuring accurate project documentation, commissioning records and closeout information.
Experience Required
The successful MEPF Manager (Construction) will have:
Significant experience managing MEPF or building services packages within major construction projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarms and controls.
Proven experience managing contractors, commissioning, QA/QC and project handover.
Experience working across complex, multi-disciplinary construction programmes.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage programme, cost and technical risk.
A relevant qualification such as a Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or Construction Management.
Professional membership or qualifications such as CIBSE, IET, ASHRAE, MCIOB, PMP or equivalent would be advantageous.
Salary & Benefits
The MEPF Manager (Construction) will receive a salary of KYD$120,000-$150,000 per annum (approximately £109,000-£136,000) together with:
$5,000 relocation allowance.
Up to one month's accommodation.
Up to one month's car rental.
100% employee health insurance premiums paid, including major medical, dental and vision.
5% employer pension contribution, subject to local limits.
20 days' annual leave, five personal days and one wellness day.
12 public holidays, plus their typical Christmas and New Year office closure.
