THE ROLE
As a Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (MET) Technician, you'll be responsible for safely dismantling and reassembling vehicles, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and trim components are repaired or refitted to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include:
·Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components on a wide range of vehicles.
·Diagnosing damaged components and identifying repair or replacement requirements.
·Carrying out vehicle strip-downs in preparation for body repairs and painting.
·Reassembling vehicles following repair, ensuring all systems function correctly.
·Completing vehicle safety and quality checks before handover.
·Working closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, and Workshop Controllers to maintain an efficient repair process.
·Ensuring all repairs are completed in accordance with manufacturer methods and health and safety procedures.
·Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

ABOUT YOU
This opportunity would suit an experienced MET Technician / Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician / Vehicle Strip & Fit Technician / Vehicle Technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

You'll ideally have:
·Previous experience as an MET Technician within an accident repair centre or Bodyshop.
·Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge across a range of vehicle manufacturers.
·Experience removing and refitting vehicle body, trim, and electrical components.
·The ability to identify damaged parts and ensure repairs are completed to manufacturer standards.
·Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
·Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
·The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a busy workshop team.
·A full UK driving licence.
