THE ROLE
As an Experienced MET Technician, you will be responsible for the removal, repair and refitting of mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles. You'll work closely with the wider bodyshop team to ensure vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer repair methods and professional accident repair standards.

Key Responsibilities:
·Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components from accident-damaged vehicles
·Carry out strip and refit work in accordance with manufacturer repair methods and technical procedures
·Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults where required
·Carry out work on vehicle systems including suspension, steering, braking and associated components
·Work closely with Panel Technicians, Paint Technicians, Estimators and Workshop Controllers
·Identify additional damage or repair requirements and communicate these to the relevant team members
·Complete repairs within agreed production times while maintaining high standards of workmanship
·Follow manufacturer procedures, bodyshop quality standards, Health & Safety requirements and safe working practices

ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced and technically capable MET Technician who takes pride in producing high-quality repairs and consistently delivering safe, professional workmanship.

·Proven experience as an MET Technician, Multi-Skilled MET Technician or Vehicle Technician within an accident repair centre or bodyshop
·Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and trim systems within modern vehicles
·Experience with vehicle strip and refit procedures and accident repair methods
·Good understanding of suspension, steering, braking and associated vehicle systems
·Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
·Ability to work efficiently to deadlines, production targets and agreed repair times
·Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on vehicle safety and repair quality
·Strong team player with a professional, reliable and positive attitude
·IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous but not essential
·Full UK Driving Licence preferred
