Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 Basic Salary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced MET Technician or Strip & Fit Technician to join a busy and professional Accident Repair Centre in Orpington. Working Monday to Friday with no weekend commitments, you'll be part of a highly skilled Bodyshop team using the latest repair techniques and manufacturer-approved methods to return vehicles to the highest standards.

As an MET Technician / Strip & Fit Technician, you will play a key role in the repair process by dismantling, repairing, and reassembling vehicles to manufacturer standards while ensuring every repair is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components

• Diagnosing damaged parts and identifying repair requirements

• Repairing and replacing mechanical and electrical components

• Carrying out repairs in accordance with manufacturer repair methods

• Working closely with Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians to ensure efficient workflow

• Completing quality inspections before vehicle handover

• Maintaining accurate workshop documentation

• Following all health and safety procedures

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician, Vehicle MET Technician, Strip Fitter, or Bodyshop Technician

• A recognised qualification such as NVQ, VCQ, SVQ, ATA, or equivalent

• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with an excellent understanding of modern vehicle repair techniques

• Experience working within a busy Bodyshop or Accident Repair Centre

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A motivated, professional, and quality-focused approach
