MET Technician

We’re recruiting an experienced MET Technician for a growing automotive repair business in Southampton.

This isn’t a standard bodyshop role.

The business has built its repair model around modern working methods, dedicated repair pods and, importantly, proper investment in technician training.

Rather than keeping people in one discipline for their whole career, technicians are given the opportunity to train across other areas of the repair process and develop into genuinely multi-skilled automotive repair professionals.

The role

You’ll be responsible for MET and strip & fit work across a range of vehicle repairs, including:

• Vehicle stripping and refitting
• Mechanical, electrical and trim repairs
• Removing and replacing damaged components
• Suspension and steering work
• Diagnostics and electrical fault finding
• Road testing where required
• Working closely with Paint, Panel and the wider repair team
• Making sure repairs are completed safely and to a high standard

What we’re looking for

We’d like to speak with experienced:

• MET Technicians
• Mechanical Electrical Trim Technicians
• Strip & Fit Technicians
• Bodyshop Technicians with strong MET experience

Experience within an accident repair or bodyshop environment is preferred.

ATA, IMI, EV/Hybrid or manufacturer training would be useful, but practical experience is just as important.
