We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, an established automotive accident repair group with centres across England, for a Vehicle MET Technician in Swindon, Wiltshire.

Duties of the MET Technician:
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs to an exceptionally high standard as a Vehicle MET Technician
  • Replace mechanical parts and complete accurate strip and refit of vehicle components
  • Follow correct repair methods for EV and ADAS vehicles
  • Use self-assessment to confirm fitment and compliance with manufacturer specifications
  • Ensure tools are checked regularly and remain fit for purpose
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE as an MET Technician
  • Complete duties in line with job cards, manufacturer and company standards, and within strict timeframes
Requirements:
  • Ideally hold a recognised qualification in automotive MET/vehicle body repair or be working towards IMI
  • Consideration will be given to individuals with no formal qualifications, provided there is a proven track record in vehicle body repair/strip and fit or from a motor vehicle mechanical background, with the drive to progress as a Vehicle MET Technician
  • Experience working on ADAS systems, including knowledge relevant to hybrid and electric vehicles
  • Confidence working independently under pressure and meeting deadlines, while collaborating with the wider team
  • A UK driving licence with minimal points is essential
