We are currently seeking a skilled MET Technician to join a reputable accident repair centre in Eastleigh, Hampshire. Duties of an MET Technician:
  • Carry out all mechanical and bodywork repairs on designated vehicles, including fitting and stripping of mechanical and body parts such as panels, interiors, gearboxes, engines, suspensions, and wheel alignments
  • Fault finding, diagnostics, and component removal or replacement using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Reassemble vehicles with repaired or new parts, ensuring high-quality standards
  • Conduct inspections and testing to confirm repairs meet safety and quality standards
  • Identify additional faults and advise on necessary repairs to maintain vehicle safety and performance
  • Perform safe and legal road tests to verify repairs as an MET Technician
  • Maintain clear communication with customers regarding vehicle repair progress and issues
  • Adhere to health and safety policies in the workshop environment 
Requirements of an MET Technician:
  • Proven experience as a MET Technician, Bodyshop Technician, or similar role within the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle electrics, mechanical systems, and body repairs
  • Experience diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic tools
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team environment
  • Organised, methodical, and detail-oriented approach to repairs
  • Previous experience working in a busy multi-make accident repair environment is highly desirable
  • Motor trade experience in vehicle repairs and diagnostics is essential
  • Knowledge of vehicle safety standards and quality control protocols.
