We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of MET Technician at a prestigious accident repair centre in Derby, Derbyshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled MET Technician to join a renowned team working on some of the most prestigious and high-performance vehicles in the industry. Duties:
  • Prepare vehicles to a high standard, ensuring quality of work
  • Complete mechanical, electrical, and trim strip and refit work
  • Diagnose vehicle issues accurately and communicate findings effectively
  • Conduct vehicle strip and refit work with precision
  • Assist in developing EV knowledge and maintain compliance with relevant standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues on larger repairs to meet deadlines
  • Report additional work requirements to the Bodyshop Advisor
  • Maintain product knowledge and technical expertise
  • Uphold high standards of workmanship and customer service
  • Maintain accurate work documentation and good housekeeping practices
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an MET Technician or in a similar role
  • Experience within a main dealership or accident repair centre, ideally with premium vehicle brands
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and trim knowledge
  • Proven ability to strip and refit vehicles to a high standard
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Good communication skills and technical literacy
  • Confidence in using computer platforms and systems
  • Accident repair and/or ATA qualification is desirable
  • Enthusiasm to enhance technical knowledge and skills
