We are representing a reputable accident repair centre located in Liverpool, seeking a skilled MET Technician to join their expanding team. The successful MET Technician will play a pivotal role in ensuring every vehicle is restored to manufacturer specifications, delivering quality service to customers.

Duties of the MET Technician:
  • Conducting strip and fit (MET) work as part of vehicle repairs
  • Removing and refitting trim components, bumpers, headlights, sensors, and other parts
  • Performing electrical disconnections and reconnections following manufacturer procedures
  • Working with modern electrical systems, including ADAS technology
  • Carrying out plastic repairs to vehicle components where required
  • Following manufacturer repair methods and technical guidelines
  • Identifying additional damage and reporting findings to relevant team members
  • Collaborating with Panel and Paint Technicians, and Workshop Controllers
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and to high standards
  • Performing quality checks prior to vehicle handover
Requirements of the MET Technician:
  • Proven experience as a MET Technician within an accident repair or bodyshop environment
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and trim components
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a team
  • Good understanding of modern vehicle construction and repair methods
  • Experience in plastic repairs is advantageous
  • Relevant automotive qualifications such as NVQ, IMI, or ATA preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work
