Metal Polisher - Braintree - Day Shift - Full Time - £15 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Metal Finisherto join a well-established catering equipment manufacturer based in Braintree. This is a full time opportunity offering £15 per hour.

This role would suit an experienced Metal Polisher with a background in stainless-steel polishing and fettling, who is confident using a range of hand and power tools.

About the role:

As a Metal Finisher, you will be responsible for fettling, preparing and polishing stainless-steel components used within bespoke catering equipment. You will work within a busy workshop environment, ensuring components are finished to a high standard and ready for the next stage of production.

Polishing & Fettling Bias

• Polishing stainless-steel components to a high-quality finish
• Carrying out fettling and preparation of metalwork
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Removing imperfections, sharp edges and excess material
• Preparing components for finishing and assembly
• Working to required quality standards
• Maintaining a clean and organised workshop area
• Following all relevant health & safety procedures

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Metal Finisher
• Strong stainless-steel polishing experience
• Proven fettling experience
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• Able to work accurately within a busy manufacturing environment
• Reliable, hardworking and self-motivated
• Good understanding of workshop health & safety

Desirable (for top salary bracket):

• Experience polishing bespoke stainless-steel catering equipment
• Previous experience within a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Experience working to a high cosmetic finish
