Adecco Workington are recruiting for a Metal Preparation Operative to join a well-established business in Carlisle on a permanent basis.

This is a hands-on role working as part of a busy production team, preparing and finishing metal components to a high standard. The role would suit someone who is practical, reliable, safety-conscious and looking for a long-term opportunity with training and development available.

The role will involve:

• Preparing, cleaning and deburring components
• Operating machinery and equipment, with full training provided
• Using tools and equipment such as drills, saws and tapping machines
• Working accurately to ensure parts are completed to the required standard
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day production duties

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous experience in a hands-on, production, workshop, engineering, metalwork or warehouse environment
• A good attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail
• A safety-first approach
• FLT licence would be an advantage, but is not essential
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
