Pay Rate: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Our client, a well-established recycling and metals business based in Barnsley, is looking to recruit a Metal Sorter to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and previous experience within the scrap metal or recycling industry. The role would suit someone technical minded that has a methodical approach to their work. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort ferrous and non-ferrous metals accurately.
• Identify different grades and types of metals.
• Ensure materials are processed efficiently and safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Work as part of a busy yard team to meet daily operational targets.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a metal sorting or similar recycling environment.
• Good knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• A commitment to health and safety standards.
