MicroStation CAD Operator (Electrical & Mechanical)

Location: Harold Wood, Essex
Salary: £60,000–£65,000 per annum

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced MicroStation CAD Operator to join our growing team based in Harold Wood. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of rail and commercial projects, producing high-quality electrical and mechanical drawings to support the successful delivery of complex engineering schemes.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum of four days per week in the Harold Wood office and one day working from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate electrical and mechanical CAD drawings using MicroStation.
• Prepare and amend design drawings, layouts, schematics, and detailed engineering documentation.
• Work closely with Electrical and Mechanical Design Engineers to develop project deliverables.
• Ensure all drawings comply with client requirements, industry standards, and company procedures.
• Maintain drawing registers and revision control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are fully integrated and delivered on time.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience using MicroStation in an engineering environment.
• Experience producing electrical and/or mechanical drawings for rail and commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards and CAD best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
