The Role

We are seeking experienced MIG Welders to join our manufacturing team and support a busy programme of fabrication and assembly work. This is an excellent opportunity for welders who take pride in producing high-quality work in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out MIG welding on mild steel components of varying thicknesses.

  • Work from technical and engineering drawings to manufacture parts accurately.

  • Complete fabrication tasks to a high standard with minimal rework.

  • Inspect your own work and identify any defects or quality concerns.

  • Report production or quality issues to the relevant supervisor.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should have either a recognised apprenticeship in welding/fabrication or proven experience in a similar industrial welding role.

Essential skills:

  • Strong MIG welding ability across a range of weld positions.

  • Experience welding mild steel from approximately 1.5mm up to 15mm.

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively within a small team.

Working Environment

The successful candidate will join a close-knit production team where flexibility and a willingness to support different tasks are important. Work is carried out to customer and quality requirements, often within demanding timescales.

Hours & Pay

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday

7:30am – 4:30pm

Friday

7:30am – 1:30pm

Pay

£15.46 – £17.88 per hour depending on experience, qualifications, and welding capability.
