Our client, ISS, is seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to deliver electrical planned preventative maintenance (PPM), proactive works, and reactive maintenance activities issued through the helpdesk within agreed timeframes, ensuring customer expectations are exceeded.
Job Description
They are looking for a professional and customer-focused individual to provide electrical building services maintenance across commercial environments, while supporting fabric, HVAC, mechanical and related maintenance tasks and ensuring full compliance with health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical PPMs, proactive maintenance and reactive works within agreed service levels.
- Undertake fault finding, maintenance, installation, inspection and testing of electrical systems and equipment.
- Complete additional building services maintenance tasks, including fabric, HVAC and mechanical works.
- Participate in the callout rota and provide emergency response support as required by the client.
- Manage contractor control duties, including monitoring contractor performance and issuing Permits to Work.
- Ensure all equipment operates to specified performance criteria and company standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records and administration within required timescales.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, including risk assessments, COSHH requirements and safe systems of work.
Skills and Experience
- Experience completing PPMs within a Facilities Management or Building Services environment.
- Experience undertaking a variety of maintenance tasks including items such as door handles, ceiling tiles and toilet seats.
- Strong knowledge of weekly and monthly PPMs across different commercial environments.
- Experience in electrical building services maintenance, including fault finding, maintenance, installation and inspection/testing.
- Experience delivering both reactive and planned preventative maintenance.
- Experience working within FM or building services across commercial properties.
- Experience working under strict health and safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Ability to provide a professional service and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proactive approach to identifying service improvements and innovations.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following electrical installation qualifications:
- City & Guilds 2365 / 2357 Level 3 and NVQ 2356 AM2.
- City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation and NVQ 2356 and AM2.
- City & Guilds 236/2360 in Electrical Installations Part 1 & 2.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018), preferably with A2 Amendment.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
