- £125 payment for each week you are scheduled on the call-out rota
- Successful completion of the AP course will increase your basic salary by £1,250 per annum
Our client, ISS, is seeking a skilled Mobile Electrician to carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and electrical works within agreed time frames, ensuring customer expectations are exceeded.
Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and professional individual with strong fault-finding and electrical maintenance experience, who can provide excellent client service while ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and contractual requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining electrical systems and supporting a range of building services maintenance activities across commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete electrical PPMs, reactive maintenance, and proactive works issued through the helpdesk within agreed time frames.
- Carry out electrical fault finding, maintenance, installation, inspection, and testing activities.
- Support general building services maintenance, including fabric, HVAC, mechanical, and related tasks.
- Participate in the client callout rota and provide emergency response support when required.
- Undertake contractor control duties, including monitoring contractor performance and issuing Permits to Work.
- Ensure all electrical equipment operates to specified performance standards and company requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete all administrative requirements on time.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, risk assessments, COSHH requirements, and safe systems of work.
Skills & Experience
- Experience completing PPMs within a Facilities Management or Building Services environment.
- Experience undertaking weekly and monthly PPMs across a variety of commercial environments.
- Proven experience in electrical building services maintenance, including fault finding, maintenance, installation, and inspection/testing.
- Previous experience delivering both reactive and planned building services maintenance.
- Experience working within FM or building services in commercial properties.
- Experience working under strict health and safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Ability to carry out basic building fabric repairs and maintenance tasks, including items such as door handles, ceiling tiles, and toilet seats.
- Strong client liaison and communication skills with a proactive approach to service delivery.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold one of the following electrical installation qualifications:
- City & Guilds 2365 and 2357 Level 3, NVQ 2356, and AM2.
- City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation, NVQ 2356, and AM2.
- City & Guilds 236/2360 Electrical Installations Parts 1 & 2.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018), preferably including the A2 Amendment.
Additional Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence.
