Mobile Fabric Engineer

Fraser Edwards is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Facilities Management contractor for a Fabric Engineer.

This is a permanent role offering long-term stability within a growing and reputable organisation. Due to continued expansion, our client is strengthening their Planned Works and Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving business and play a key role in delivering high-quality maintenance services across their portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Take delivery of materials, check delivery notes, and hand documentation to the foreman
• Carry out reactive maintenance on all types of fabric equipment on the client’s asset register
• Complete worksheets accurately and submit to Head Office weekly
• Complete planned maintenance works in line with client specifications
• Make recommendations regarding plant condition, including submitting Life Expired reports as necessary
• Assist the Contracts Manager with costings for remedial works
• Order materials for jobs and manage associated paperwork
• Attend training and Health & Safety courses as directed
• Follow company procedures for accident reporting and site H&S guidelines

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a Fabric Engineer
• Experience working within Facilities Management or commercial maintenance environments
• Full UK Driving Licence (Van Provided)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organisational and reporting abilities
• Flexible approach to overtime and callout requirements

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:30
• Participation in callout rota as required
