About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Fabric Engineer to join a well-established building maintenance company, covering commercial properties across London and the M25.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled fabric engineer looking for a long-term position with a stable company, regular overtime, training and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance across commercial properties.
- Complete carpentry and joinery repairs, including doors, locks, hinges and shelving.
- Carry out painting, decorating and wall patch repairs.
- Replace and repair ceiling tiles, floor tiles and carpet tiles.
- Undertake general building fabric repairs and maintenance.
- Complete PPM and reactive works in line with SLAs and client requirements.
- Identify and report defects, hazards and required remedial works.
- Complete job sheets, maintenance records and reports accurately.
- Order materials and manage stock as required.
- Work alongside subcontractors and other engineers when required.
- Maintain high Health & Safety standards and ensure tools and equipment are kept secure and in good condition.
- Travel between commercial sites across London and the M25.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial fabric or building maintenance.
- Strong carpentry, joinery and general fabric maintenance skills.
- Experience carrying out reactive and planned maintenance.
- Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Relevant City & Guilds, NVQ or trade qualification is desirable but not essential.
- £37,000 – £42,000 per annum, depending on experience.
