Salary: £40,000-£45,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40hrs)
Location: Cumbernauld and surrounding areas
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer to join a well-established and employee-focused material handling company based in Cumbernauld. Due to continued growth and an expanding workload, they are looking to add another engineer to their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing servicing, maintenance and repair work on a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
- Attending breakdowns and carrying out reactive maintenance
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Completing safety checks and pre-delivery inspections (PDI)
- Organising and managing your own workload effectively
- Accurately completing job sheets, service reports and compliance documentation
- Liaising with parts departments to source required components
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Forklift Engineer
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- A professional, reliable and customer-focused approach
- Experience with electrics and hydraulics
- Knowledge of LOLER inspections
- Technical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ) (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
Package & Benefits
Basic Salary: £40,000- £45,000
Company Van & Fuel Card provided with personal use of the van
Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays
